Looking for a solution to sharpen your images and to ensure that your subject is always in focus? Get a Focus Light for your Underwater Photo System!
Compact digital cameras make use of an automatic focus mechanism which automatically identifies the subject and sets the camera's focus according to the distance between the lens and subject. Blurred images often result from a failure of this mechanism to properly identify the subject and to set the correct focus range. Since the system performs the required calculations based on the subject's contrast, such a failure is most likely in low light conditions, as during night dives, cave dives, deep dives, etc.
Focus Lights

Focus lights were designed to better enable the camera's auto focus, especially in low light conditions, by adding contrast to the subject. Integrating a focus light in the underwater camera system and keeping it constantly aimed towards the same direction the lens is pointed to, ensures that the camera's focus mechanism will be capable of successfully identifying the subject and setting the focus accordingly. Focus lights can also serve as a primary or secondary night dive light, depending on their brightness.
